The fear of covid is NOT a factor in most zoom attendance. Old age, crippling seats, boring parts, travel, dress codes, all are reasons. Doing zoom easily saves an hour or more. The so called association is a joke; tgat would come from a forbidden picnic.

Assembly Dramas:They were so bad.... but.... you waited for them to break away from the monotony!

you do remember the four day assemblies... sitting outdoors being fried in the sweltering heat,getting heat stroke in the middle of july in an outdoor baseball stadium.sitting outdoors from 9:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. was so much fun while you wore a suit,long sleeve shirt and a tie while your brain fried.
mom's who had children to take care of,lug strollers,feed all the kids,take them for bathroom breaks and try to not faint from the heat.. the sound and audio was always breaking and barely audible from the wind,airplanes flying over and (if you attended the cicero,illinois circuit )you would smell horse manure from the horse stables next door.. you know that you are a jehovah's witness.... when the only excitement waiting for the drama... where brothers and sisters dress up in ancient cloths,fake beards,fake rocks and fake soldier uniforms and wave their hands incessantly to pretend that they are acting out a drama.the excitement was unbearable!.

The one meeting I went the the mandatory though optional mask was stifling. So sit there alone or with household wearing a mask, then go on stage and take it off to be close to the never covered or wiped microphone. Disinfect every arm rest, ignore the seat back used for balance when standing.

Watched 1st WT Video in 30 years!
by Wonderment intoday i watched my 1st wt drama video since 30 years ago when i quit as a jw member.
the strange thing is that i did not choose to start watching this video.
it was my wife who's never been a witness, who started going over the jw.org site, and came across the new videos.

They are better. Complete with special effects, some bought from outside expertise. Jonah was good. They fleshed out the characters. Minor things like jonah having a mid 20s unmarried sister bug me. Everyone seems to like Jade and Neeta, jade better because she isn't as prudish.
I would give them about equal to late 40s early 50s Hollywood. Their new studio will maybe help.
They still have their narrative though.
I was a slave laborer on the old dramas too.

Worst part is BBC is still better than US news when I watch. Mostly their coverage of American stories
